info
Welcome to Race-tin.com also known as cuztom.dk
Info about this site
This website is a dedication to the “canned cars” in all of its shapes. The canned cars had some glorious days in 2001 – 2004?, especially in Thailand, then US and Europe. They were customized by R/C freaks all over the world, incredible tings were achieved with this "piece of plastic". Many started out with tin cars and later moved on to the still growing Mini-z, Xmods and 1/10 scale cars. However we still find a lot of joy and challenge in customizing this toy and that’s why we have made this online tribute. The well known rc132 website by "freed" has been a big inspiration for us.
Race-tin preservation
One of our goals is to preserve the shiny days of the tin cars many of the great websites are now closing down, such as Fat N Slimracing and Carmoworld It’s getting harder and harder to find modified cars, information and parts.
Support this site with pictures, videos, electronic diagrams and more. Do you have a website with relevant material and no longer maintaining it, then let's us host it for you, so others can get access to the information in the future.
The present day
After the GEN-3 series and the new licensed versions of Auldey cars were released, we have got a huge amount of responses for this site and we are very happy for each and everyone of them. This support gives us energy to continue bringing stuff to the tinracer people.
Behind the site
Race-tin.com is a one man project.
The Race-tin cars, was for me a new beginning into the R/C hobby. Today I drive all kind of cars, Auldey Race-tin, Auldey/Revell Rpmz, Radio Shack X-mod, Kyosho Mini-z, Custom Rydz. I got my first R/C car as a young child, it was a Nikko Turbo Panther, in red. I dreamed about this car for months and finally I got one at christmas eve, I had a very big smile on my face that evening.
I hope my next car will be a Reely Carbon Fighter or Carbon Breaker 1/6 scale cars. They sell them at Conrad in Germany, for a very unique price, only 399 and 449 Euro. :)
